Welcome to the Wiki!

Hello and welcome to the Official Team Fortress Wiki! I see that you are a new user so I just wanted to give you some things to note to help you get started.

First off, on the Team Fortress 2 Wiki, we have a set of rules called the style guide which defines what should and shouldn't be done. Of course, if the style guide can't answer your questions, we have a nice help section that could answer your questions. Now If you find that neither of these have answered your questions, stop by the IRC. There we have many editors, moderators, even administrators who are willing to help. The IRC is also a nice place to socialize with the other users.

Other miscellaneous things to note:

  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen. This is a nice way to see whats happening and who is doing what. Usually users provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes so people who view the recent changes can get a quick idea of what that person did.
  • Many articles have a "discussion" or "talk" page. When posting on an article's talk page you should add --~~~~, this will add a signature and timestamp to the end of your comment so others can easily tell who posted it. Just remember when editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
  • You can also customize your user page however you like. Also if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Darkid/ to the page title when you create the page.

RE: Patch/dictionary edits

Please leave the patch notes exactly as they would appear on the patch source, likewise leave the achievement descriptions how they would appear in tf_english.txt. Thanks. i-ghost 11:15, 17 January 2012 (PST)

Ah, sorry, thought capitalization was within the bounds of change. My two cents ≥Darkid≤ 11:17, 17 January 2012 (PST)

I don't own Skyrim, but I'd take an arrow to the knee for it. Thanks for the encouragement! ≥My two cents≤ 15:30, 28 January 2012 (PST)
