The Trigger is a scrapped secondary weapon for the Demoman, whose viewmodel texture files were found in the gamefiles of the PatchVersion 1.0.0.0
build;
tf/materials/models/weapons/v_trigger/v_trigger.vmt
tf/materials/models/weapons/v_trigger/v_trigger.vtf
tf/materials/models/weapons/v_trigger/v_trigger_normal.vtf
The following three files were found listed in PatchVersion 1.0.0.0
's tf\reslists\all.lst
file but were not included in the gamefiles:
tf/models/weapons/v_models/v_trigger.mdl
tf/models/weapons/v_models/v_trigger.vvd
tf/models/weapons/v_models/v_trigger.dx90.vtx
What weapon or item the Trigger was paired with is unknown, whether it be the original remotely-detonated Pipebomb Launcher, the Stickybomb Launcher, the MIRV Grenade's secondary weapon version, the Detpack, or even the Demoman PDA.
