Hello, Pyro BackBURNER96!

Welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Official Wiki!

Here are a few links to get you started:

  • If you're not too familiar with editing wikis, you might like to start with Help:Editing.
  • If you already are familiar with wikiediting, you might want to try Help:Style guide.
  • Recent Changes will let you see others' contributions as they happen.
    • To make Recent Changes more useful for all users, remember to provide an edit summary in the "Summary" field before you save your changes.
    • You can set the wiki to prompt you for a summary in your preferences.
  • When posting on an article's Talk page you should add four tilde symbols or ~~~~ onto the end.
    • This will add a signature and timestamp to your comment so others can easily tell who posted it.
    • Any new sections on an article's Talk page should be added to the bottom of the page and not to the top.
    • When editing normal article pages, don't sign your contributions.
    • You can use the Signature Icon.png button in the editing toolbar to quickly add a signature.
  • If you have any questions or need any help, please feel free to leave a message for a staff member.
  • If you have trouble with anything on the wiki or you're not sure about a specific topic, feel free to join the IRC.
  • You can also customize your user page if you like.
    • When uploading images for use on your user page, please add the prefix User Pyro BackBURNER96 to the file's name.
    • Additionally, if you would like to add any self-made content to the wiki, please do so by adding the prefix User:Pyro BackBURNER96/ to the page title when you create the page.

Once again, welcome to the Team Fortress 2 Wiki!

Welcome to the TF wiki!

Hey Pyro BackBURNER96,

welcome to the TF wiki and great to see some action going on in the Italian section. :)

I've noticed a few minor mistakes in your first edit and corrected it. Just remember the following things and you're good to go:

  • Always link to Italian pages, never to English ones. If you get confused about what links where, it might be easier for you to choose to use [[Spy/it|Spio]] for all links so you easily see if you missed a "/it" somewhere.
  • For items you can utilize the {{item name}} and {{item link}} templates, those are automatically inserting the Italian item name and in case of the latter template also inserting a link to the Italian page. Example usage: {{item link|Medi Gun}} produces: Pistola Medica.
  • The {{see also}} and {{main}} templates are a little more complicated to translate. The English {{see also|Obtaining Foundry achievements}} must be translated as {{see also|Obtaining Foundry achievements/it|l1=Ottenere gli achievement di Foundry}}, so the last parameter is the name that is shown for the link.

Keep up the work and have fun!

If you've got any questions, feel free to join the IRC, ask me on my talk page or answer under this post here. Please note that I don't speak Italian. — shots fired by: Nikno {Talk | Contribs} 02:27, 4 September 2016 (PDT)

Thank you! i'll do my best!

Thanks for correcting my mistakes! I'm new on TF2 i just have 200 hours or so, but i just love this game and i've visited the english wiki many times. So one night a friend of mine were talking about the lack of translation/information on the italian wiki, so i decided to translate the pages myself, so i can give a hand to the italian TF2 community, i already translate the "Foundry achievements-how to" because it was totally missing and i thought it would be better to "fix" this hole in the italian wiki, and i'm going to translate everithing i can as best as possible! please don't kick me out because i'm a "noob" i want only to translate pages already existing from English language to the italian, and i'm sure about my knowledge of the english language is way superior than my skills on TF2, at least for now. Again, Thank You very much! Pyro BackBURNER96 (talk) 03:11, 4 September 2016 (PDT)

It's quite the contrary to "kick you out", we're very happy about every translator helping to improve this wiki, especially since the Italian section is pretty dead at the moment. :) Also, you're not a "noob", for your first edit this was already quite good from what I can judge. I'm afraid you don't have much other Italian translators to cooperate with, nonetheless have a look on your translation page. — shots fired by: Nikno {Talk | Contribs} 03:38, 4 September 2016 (PDT)

I see,i never thought to cooperate with other people but if i want to traslate another page, if it doesn't appear in the "Traslations in progress" can i translate it by myself? and there's a limit to the mistakes before getting ban on this wiki? Pyro BackBURNER96 (talk) 04:09, 4 September 2016 (PDT)

You can translate any English page to Italian. You can also edit and improve/update other Italian articles that are old or have mistakes in them. The "Translations in progress" are most likely completely outdated since, as I said, nobody is active on the Italian side. No, you won't get banned. — shots fired by: Nikno {Talk | Contribs} 04:11, 4 September 2016 (PDT)
