The Righteous Bison Indivisible Particle Smasher?

Is that really true? I think the "Indivisible Particle Smasher" part is just the kind of gun. Yaridovich23 19:47, 20 July 2011 (PDT)

Vaporization

Should we add that the death animation is the "Fizzle" animation in Portal ( and probably something in Half-Life)?

It's from Half Life 2 originally, and by now is in most source games. --EvilDeadFan Pyro Blue Big.jpg 05:49, 21 July 2011 (PDT)

Idle Particle System

I wasn't quite sure how to word for the page or if its notable, but the gun will every now and again release the spark particle system out of the nozzle. User M-NINJA Signature.png 11:24, 21 July 2011 (PDT)

"light Huntsman arrows held by an enemy Sniper."

An enemy sniper? That isn't right, is it? Balladofwindfishes 12:12, 21 July 2011 (PDT)

This is not true, I've just checked it. It does, however, work on friendly snipers. Freakie 17:22, 22 July 2011 (PDT)

Rehit rate

The delay for a single shot hitting the same target again should be noted. Toomai Glittershine 20:54, 22 July 2011 (PDT)

This has been added. Vaati 006 10:53, 16 December 2012 (PST)
And you should have a look that about this discussion was ended with no answer about 1 year and 5 months ago. User Hinaomi Hinaomi-sig.png Hinaomi (talk) • (contributions) 11:45, 16 December 2012 (PST)
Nothing wrong with that - now anybody reading this old discussion will know that the info has been added. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 11:00, 17 December 2012 (PST)

Damage Type

Precisely what sort of damage does this weapon deal? Is it bullet, explosive, or fire damage? I've seen that it lights friendly Huntsman arrows, but I wanted to be certain. `-- Kanosea 00:51, 30 July 2011 (PDT)

Damage fail

Not sure if this was just a one off or something, but I do recall scoring 10 damage to a Pyro. Is this because he/she had something that made him/her take less damage, was it just a glitch or do you think the damage might be 10 - 42? --ScoutKast 01:27, 2 August 2011 (PDT)

It all depends on how far away your Pyro is. On Long range, they commonly do 10-11 damage. Altair 01:34, 31 August 2011 (PDT)

Genuine Tradeable?

It seems only a few were made tradeable. A lot of people are still reporting theirs remains untradeable. Maybe a certain time has to pass since redeeming it? Balladofwindfishes 12:38, 3 August 2011 (PDT)

Valve is slowly making all of them tradeable, I believe. I'll try to cite thisAtonement 12:41, 3 August 2011 (PDT)

look--Nik9990 Talk | Cont 12:46, 3 August 2011 (PDT)
More and more are popping up every second. All the ones that I have found have different dates of redemption, I think it's just something that is taking time. They didn't all turn Genuine at the same time, so I don't imagine they'll all be tradable at the same time. Thenyproject 12:48, 3 August 2011 (PDT)
I can personally confirm that those that aren't tradeable yet will become tradeable soon. I have 2 comic code bisons in my backpack: One activated some days before August 1st, one activated yesterday (~10 hours ago). When I activated my second one, both were still untradeable. Now, roughly 10 hours later, my first one is suddenly tradeable. The second one, the one activated later, is still untradeable. Backpack Link: http://tf2items.com/id/chaoticblessings . Feel free to check "historical data" as well, there's a save of yesterday evening (european time), where the bison is still untradeable. The tradeable one is at first page, the untradeable one at last page. I expect the latter to become tradeable one as well. Aerius 02:38, 4 August 2011 (PDT)
The second one became tradeable today, so I would estimate it to last around 5 days to become tradeable. I would be happy if anyone could confirm/deny this with his own experiences. Until then I edited the page with my estimation. Feel free to check my backpack again with historical data to confirm what I wrote.Aerius 05:51, 9 August 2011 (PDT)

45 milliseconds?

That's one hell of an accurate value, and most importantly it's so wrong, where are you guys pulling such values from? A damage interval of 45 ms would be equivalent to a flamethrower or a minigun with more than double firing rate, a single shot from that would instantly kill any 125 HP class. From personal testing, I found an interval which is closer to 0.1 second, which seems more reasonable, can anyone confirm this before I edit it in? UnderscoreKilburn 02:36, 22 November 2011 (PST)

Could you perhaps examine the game code to find an exact value? I don't know how feasible that would be, but it should be possible... probably... maybe... Vaati 006 10:52, 16 December 2012 (PST)

Hitscan weapon

Hello! I was wondering, wouldn't it be useful to specify that this weapon is not a Hitscan weapon unlike the basic shortgun ? It is a great lack of precision, and therefore greatly affects the gameplay of the weapon. I think it have to be visible. Jay 04:57, 15 December 2011 (PST)

Righteous Bison Weird Reloading?

I've noticed if you have any of the Dr. Grordbort's weapons (not sure about Cow Mangler 5000) and it needs to be reloaded if you hold down m2 and shake the mouse so your character looks around fast he will reload the gun. The same thing happens with the Pomson 6000 for the Engineer. If anyone has the Cow Mangler 5000 please test it out to see if it works too. StelarLuke 11:59, 20 July 2012 (PDT)

This seems highly unusual and very unlikely... do you perhaps have reload bound to M2? Or automatic reloading turned on? Vaati 006 12:12, 5 December 2012 (PST)
Edit: after a bit of thought, I remembered one thing about the Cowmangler that may be related. If you try to fire a charged shot (M2) while the clip isn't full, it will automatically reload the clip (but not fire the charged shot afterward, oddly). Perhaps this is related?? I still don't think the "hold down M2 and shake the mouse to reload" thing is real, mainly because, from a coding sense, how (or why) would a person make a code that activated when "looking around really fast"? How would they define/detect "really fast"? So, I think something was happening that you didn't realize, StelarLuke. Vaati 006 10:50, 16 December 2012 (PST)

Projectile speed needed

This is related to the topic "hitscan weapon" above, but is also very important, and I didn't want it to get buried. Somebody needs to find and add to this page the speed at which the Righteous Bison projectile travels for the sake of reinforcing that it is not a hitscan weapon, as well as giving additional information. Also, since it is hard for the average person to visualize exactly how fast something in hammer units/second is traveling, it would be ideal if that same person could say that "the Righteous Bison's projectile travels at 850 Hammer Units/second, which is 77% the speed of a standard rocket." I just made those numbers up for the sake of example. Also, just to help out whoever does this research, the Wiki page for the Rocket Launcher states that a standard rocket travels at approx. 1100 hammer units/second. Vaati 006 12:43, 5 December 2012 (PST)

Pellet count?

It says in the table that pellet count is 4. Is that even supposed to be there? The gun seems to fire just one particle/projectile. K-Raider NL 06:15, 14 January 2013 (PST)
