| obtain-text = This can be tricky to pull off, as it requires a good sense of prediction to work out where your target will be before you hit the ground. This can be done as you land on an enemy's head if you react fast enough and melee them as you make contact. You can also do this by jumping into another rocket/sticky jumping player and colliding in mid-air; just be sure to hit them before they realize what happened.

| obtain-text = This feat can be performed either just as you land on an enemy’s head or when colliding with another player in midair. Remember that you can air strafe during a sticky jump in order to reach a moving target. Both methods will require decent midair control, reaction time, and a good sense of prediction. While this achievement can be done with any melee weapon, the extended range offered by the Eyelander may make it slightly easier.

| obtain-text = The Targe does 50 damage on a direct hit with an enemy, and an additional 10 damage for each head you currently have with the Eyelander (up to 5). 100 total damage is often more than enough to kill weakened classes such as Medics and Spies. You can also try to get this by charging a retreating Scout or an Equalizer-wielding Soldier. Remember to try and charge into your target with your view slightly angled to the right of the player for best results.

| obtain-text = The Chargin’ Targe will deal fifty damage when colliding with an enemy at the end of a charge, as well as an additional ten damage for each head acquired when wielding the Eyelander, up to five. You will still not be able to kill any class that is not using either of the Jumper weapons in one hit with only 100 damage, so make sure to target enemies that are already injured. Because the Chargin’ Targe is normally stationed on the left arm of the Demoman, charge with your own view angled slightly to the right of the target to increase the likelihood of a hit. You will need to avoid the impulse to swing your melee weapon at the end of a full charge.

Placing stickies on places like the roof of control point B or C on Gravel Pit, around corners on Dustbowl, or in unexpected places near the enemy spawn will help you find Heavies that are on full health as well as hide the stickies to ensure they are not destroyed prematurely. The Scottish Resistance can help by separating your clusters and giving you more chances and more places to place stickies. If you see an ÜberCharged Heavy, try to lay at least 5 stickies at his feet and detonating them when the charge wears off, if he is Übered then chances are that he is revved up, so he will be easy to lead. However, often the Heavy will try to kill you in order to destroy the stickies, so try to stay out of his direct line of sight.

Beat Me Up, Scotty
Beat Me Up, Scotty
Use a critical swing with the Eyelander to kill 5 enemy players.
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
How to obtain: This achievement requires you to kill enemy players by dealing Critical hits with the Eyelander, which does not give random Critical hits. You will need to use the Chargin’ Targe, which grants guaranteed Critical melee hits on a full charge, to obtain this achievement. The achievement merely checks for kills by Critical hit, so alternate methods of gaining the Crit boost include securing the enemy intelligence or getting First Blood in Arena. Narrow corridors, such as the sewers on 2Fort, give opponents little room to dodge, and are good places to work towards this achievement.

Blind Fire
Blind Fire
Destroy an Engineer building that you can't see with a direct hit from your Grenade Launcher.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: A direct hit from your Grenade Launcher is required for this achievement; destroying an Engineer building by bouncing grenades off a wall will not work. Many maps, such as Dustbowl, provide ample cover that you can hide behind to indirectly lob grenades at enemy buildings. Firing a grenade at a building and moving out of sight before it connects will also count towards this achievement.

Bloody Merry
Bloody Merry
Provide an enemy player with a freeze cam of your smiling face.
Difficulty: Very Easy
How to obtain: Upon killing an enemy, simply taunt while having the Grenade Launcher equipped. You need not make the kill with the Grenade Launcher itself. For example, you can detonate sticky bombs to kill an enemy, switch to the Grenade Launcher, then taunt. This achievement will not work on bots.

Brainspotting
Brainspotting
Decapitate 50 enemy players.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: This achievement will require you to use the Eyelander or Scotsman's Skullcutter to kill enemies. The achievement is not overly difficult, but may take a decent amount of time. Carrying the Chargin' Targe alongside your melee weapon is recommended, as it allows you to quickly close the gap against any enemies attacking from a distance. When using the Eyelander, try to get decapitations in strings, as each head will make getting the next one easier.

Bravehurt
Bravehurt
Kill 25 players defending a capture point or cart.
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
How to obtain: When your team is trying to capture a point, fire grenades at defenders already on the point, then move in once the area is clear. Lay sticky bombs around the point and detonate them when an enemy jumps onto the point to stop the capture. It is somewhat harder to kill defenders around the Payload cart, as they will not tend to congregate around it.

Caber Toss
Caber Toss
Bounce an enemy into the air and kill them before they land.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: All of the Demoman’s explosive weapons can send an enemy into the air. After you’ve managed to blast an enemy into the air, try to finish him off in midair with a well-placed grenade or a sticky bomb detonated in midair. Alternatively, you can lay a sticky trap beforehand and bounce a target into it. The Scottish Resistance can be used to lay two traps with which an enemy can be bounced from one onto the other.

Cry Some Moor!
Cry Some Moor!
Destroy 50 buildings.
Difficulty: Easy
How to obtain: Demomen are excellent at destroying Engineer buildings. This achievement will require some time playing offensively. When paired with a Medic, have him use an ÜberCharge on you to take out problematic Sentry Guns. It is recommended to have either the Sticky bomb Launcher or Scottish Resistance equipped, as the detonation of multiple sticky bombs can instantly destroy any building.

Double Mauled Scotch
Double Mauled Scotch
Kill 2 people in a single sticky jump.
Difficulty: Medium-Hard
How to obtain: This achievement may happen incidentally if you encounter a group of enemies with lower health. Sticky jump above them, then rapidly fire sticky bombs or grenades at the ground. Any enemies killed in sticky bombs detonated in the same explosion as your jump will also count towards this achievement. You can try placing a sticky trap in a well-trafficked area and have one sticky under your feet. Once you see at least two enemies appear near the sticky trap, crouch jump and detonate it.

Glasg0wned
Glasg0wned
Kill 25 Scouts and Pyros with the Grenade Launcher.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: Pyros will likely be the easier target for your Grenade Launcher, as they are relatively harmless at long-range. If they get too close, backpedal while firing at them. Beware that some will use their compression blast to reflect your grenades back at you. Although Scouts are fast and can easily dodge your grenades, a combination of prediction and the Scout's low survivability can still allow you to kill them.

He Who Celt It
He Who Celt It
Use the Sticky Launcher to kill an enemy player via environmental damage.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: This achievement is easier to obtain on a map with some sort of dangerous environmental hazard, such as the instant death pits on Nucleus, Steel, and Double Cross. When blasting an enemy into the air with a sticky bomb, try to make sure that either he will die from the fall damage or that the trajectory of his flight will lead him into a hazard.

Highland Fling
Highland Fling
Sticky jump a really long way...
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
How to obtain: Experienced sticky jumpers will have no problem with this achievement. Read the sticky jump article to learn how to execute one properly. Note that the achievement is based on the horizontal distance travelled. You’ll need to use two to three (only if overhealed) sticky bombs to make a jump of the required distance. Good maps to attempt this on are Badlands, Pipeline, and Well. The estimated length you need to travel can be measured by the distance from the first BLU spawn on Badwater Basin to the first capture point. While attempting this will generally leave you near death, if not dead, the Sticky Jumper can be used to nullify self-damage and allow you to use even more than three stickies to perform the jump. Interestingly, the achievement is merely based upon the distance you are launched. Being knocked back by an attack powerful enough might also grant this achievement.

Kilt in Action
Kilt in Action
Kill 500 enemy Soldiers.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: Always use your class advantages to engage Soldiers on your own terms. Deny them a direct line of sight, lay sticky traps to halt their progress, and bounce grenades around corners. If you have the Chargin' Targe equipped, try to engage the Soldier in close quarters combat; his Rocket Launcher will deal less damage to you, thanks to the Targe, as well as damage him.

Laddy Macdeth
Laddy Macdeth
Kill 50 enemies with direct hits from the Grenade Launcher.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: This achievement will take some time, but will eventually happen naturally through skilled play. Use good aim, prediction, and a bit of luck to land those direct hits, taking into the account the arced trajectory of your grenades.

Left 4 Heads
Left 4 Heads
Decapitate 4 players with only 10 seconds between each kill.
Difficulty: Hard
How to obtain: Using the Eyelander or Scotsman’s Skullcutter, try to engage multiple enemies at once in cramped quarters. Pair your melee weapon with the Chargin’ Targe in order to reach new targets before the ten seconds expire. Having a Medic assist you with an ÜberCharge can be beneficial; the standard ÜberCharge will increase your survivability, especially in crowds, while the Kritzkrieg will allow you to quickly cleave through enemy players for massive damage.

Loch Ness Bombster
Loch Ness Bombster
Kill an enemy player with sticky bombs within 5 seconds of them teleporting.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: The easiest way to get this achievement is to lay sticky bombs at an enemy Teleporter Exit, and wait for someone to appear. Target enemies who have the tell-tale glow underneath their feet, and use that to determine whether or not a Teleporter is nearby.

Pipebagger
Pipebagger
Kill at least three players with a single detonation of sticky bombs.
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
How to obtain: Place sticky bombs at places where enemies tend to gather, such as active control points, the Payload cart, or the start gate at the beginning of a round. A Medic assisting you with the Kritzkrieg may make this achievement easier, as just one Critical sticky bomb can potentially kill three players or more.

Robbed Royal
Robbed Royal
Destroy 100 enemy sticky bombs with the Scottish Resistance.
Difficulty: Easy
How to obtain: Try to predict where an enemy Demoman would place sticky traps so that you can toss your own in to destroy them. If enemy sticky bombs are placed out in the open, destroy them with impunity. Remember that you can use just one or two of your bombs to destroy many of the enemy’s.

Scotch Guard
Scotch Guard
Kill 3 enemies capping or pushing a cart in a single Stickybomb detonation 3 separate times.
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
How to obtain: When defending control points, try to place sticky traps in innocuous locations where they won’t immediately be spotted and detonate them once enough players are nearby. On Payload maps, your best bet is to shoot sticky bombs at the cart after the enemy starts to push it, as players will often be reluctant to approach a cart that’s already surrounded by your stickies.

Scotch Tap
Scotch Tap
Glory in the slaughter of your enemies using the Eyelander.
Difficulty: Medium-Hard
How to obtain: For this achievement, you will need to equip the Eyelander and perform the taunt on an enemy to kill them. Try to find relatively unaware enemies to attempt this on, such as a scoped Sniper, as the taunt does take a considerable amount of time to complete. This is one of the quieter taunts in the game, so it can be attempted multiple times on the same target if you miss.

Second Eye
Second Eye
Provide an enemy player with a freeze cam of you shaking your rump.
Difficulty: Very Easy
How to obtain: Upon killing an enemy, taunt with the Scottish Resistance equipped. Just set up a sticky trap and wait for an enemy to cross it.

Shorn Connery
Shorn Connery
Decapitate a cloaked Spy.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: You may incidentally see a cloaked Spy that bumps into either you or your teammates. When this happens, take out your Eyelander or Scotsman’s Skullcutter and chase him down. If you know a Spy is nearby, randomly swinging your weapon a few times won’t hurt, either. Check corners and other less visited places where Spies may be hiding.

Slammy Slayvis Woundya
Slammy Slayvis Woundya
Decapitate an enemy Soldier who is brandishing the Equalizer.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: A Soldier wielding the Equalizer is already bound to be damaged, meaning he will likely out damage you in melee combat. The Eyelander is recommended over the Scotsman’s Skullcutter, as the reduced speed the Skullcutter grants will allow the Soldier to easily outmaneuver you. Make use of the Eyelander’s wider melee range to avoid being hit. If the Soldier tries to flee, use the Chargin’ Targe to chase after him.

Something Stickied This Way Comes
Something Stickied This Way Comes
Kill 30 players with air burst sticky bombs.
Difficulty: Medium-Hard
How to obtain: Keep in mind that sticky bombs cannot be detonated for roughly a second after being fired. The normal Sticky bomb Launcher is recommended over the Scottish Resistance for this achievement, as the longer bomb arm time may cause trouble when trying to detonate a sticky early. To kill an enemy using air burst sticky bombs, aim a little above them so that the sticky doesn’t touch the floor before it is detonated. Charged, long range sticky bombs can be used to “snipe” targets that are far away.

Spynal Tap
Spynal Tap
Kill 20 Spies within 5 seconds of them sapping a friendly building.
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
How to obtain: Guard friendly buildings by placing sticky bombs around them. When you hear the notification that indicates when an Engineer’s buildings are being sapped, detonate your stickies. You will hopefully catch the Spy in the explosion. If you haven’t laid any stickies but see a Spy sap a building, use the Grenade Launcher or chase after him with your melee weapon.

Sticky Thump
Sticky Thump
Using the Scottish Resistance, kill 3 players in separate explosions without placing new sticky bombs.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: This achievement will require at least two individual sticky traps to be laid. The kills accumulated by detonating them must equal three or more. If you fire even a single sticky after at least one kill is obtained, progress towards this achievement will reset. Small, narrow areas that are busy with player traffic, such as the tunnels on Dustbowl, provide many chances to set multiple traps.

Tam O'Shatter
Tam O'Shatter
Destroy 5 enemy Engineer buildings during a single ÜberCharge from a Medic.
Difficulty: Medium-Hard
How to obtain: A group of Engineer buildings generally only consist of a Sentry Gun, a Dispenser, and maybe a Teleporter Exit. While the Demoman is excellent at destroying buildings, the difficult part of this achievement will be finding the required five buildings in the eight seconds an ÜberCharge is active. Aggressively approach these buildings, laying multiple stickies around them. Use the fact that sticky bombs can be fired and armed before you are ÜberCharged to aid against the time constraint of the achievement. It will take three sticky bombs at most to destroy any building that is not shielded by the Wrangler. Rather than reload the Sticky bomb Launcher, switch to your Grenade Launcher to finish off any remaining buildings. Try to find a friendly Medic who is attempting to obtain the corresponding achievement, “Medical Breakthrough,” and is willing to aid you.

Tartan Spartan
Tartan Spartan
Do 1 million points of total blast damage.
Difficulty: Easy
How to obtain: This is a long grinding achievement that will be obtained over time. All of the Demoman’s projectile-based weapons (Grenade Launcher, Sticky bomb Launcher, and Scottish Resistance) deal blast damage. Damage done using melee attacks or the Chargin’ Targe will not count towards this achievement.

The Argyle Sap
The Argyle Sap
Blow up an Engineer, his Sentry Gun, and his Dispenser with a single Sticky bomb detonation.
Difficulty: Easy
How to obtain: Play on maps where Engineers are commonly deployed to defend areas, such as 2Fort and Dustbowl. When you encounter an Engineer guarding his nest, lay sticky bombs around the area, making sure to cover both the required buildings and the Engineer’s location. It will take a maximum of three or four stickies to destroy any one building. Avoid attempting this on Engineers with the Wrangler equipped; a shielded Sentry Gun may take up to six stickies to destroy. If needed, have a Medic ÜberCharge you to allow for a safe approach.

The High Road
The High Road
Sticky jump onto a cap point and capture it.
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
How to obtain: It will be easier to attempt this on standard Control Point maps, as the control points there are captured significantly faster than those on Attack/Defend maps. Aim for either lightly guarded points, such as the spires on Badlands, or points that are captured extremely quickly, such as the last point of Granary or Well. Because you must be on the point for the entire duration of the capture, equipping the Pain Train and having teammates assist you are strongly recommended.

There Can Be Only One
There Can Be Only One
Decapitate your nemesis.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: Once dominated by an enemy player, be on the lookout for the large Revenge icon over their head. Get close to and kill him with either the Eyelander or Scotsman’s Skullcutter. Sticky jumping or using the Chargin’ Targe will greatly aid in closing the gap between you and your nemesis.

The Scottish Play
The Scottish Play
Get a melee kill while sticky jumping.
Difficulty: Hard
How to obtain: This feat can be performed either just as you land on an enemy’s head or when colliding with another player in midair. Remember that you can air strafe during a sticky jump in order to reach a moving target. Both methods will require decent midair control, reaction time, and a good sense of prediction. While this achievement can be done with any melee weapon, the extended range offered by the Eyelander may make it slightly easier.

The Targe Charge
The Targe Charge
Charge and kill someone with your shield bash.
Difficulty: Medium
How to obtain: The Chargin’ Targe will deal fifty damage when colliding with an enemy at the end of a charge, as well as an additional ten damage for each head acquired when wielding the Eyelander, up to five.

The Stickening
The Stickening
Kill 3 Heavies from full health with a single sticky bomb detonation.
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
How to obtain: A Heavy in a contested area will rarely be at full health unless accompanied by a Medic, so you will likely have to catch him by surprise elsewhere. Because the Heavy’s weaponry is effective at destroying your sticky bombs, make sure to place them in concealed or unexpected locations, such as on roofs, around corners, or near the enemy spawn room. If you see an enemy Heavy who is ÜberCharged, try to lay at least five stickies at his feet, detonating them once he becomes vulnerable again.

Three Times a Laddy
Three Times a Laddy
Dominate three Engineers.
Difficulty: Easy
How to obtain: A Demoman can often wipe out an Engineer and his buildings with a single detonation of sticky bombs. Use your indirect fire capabilities to avoid directly facing Sentry Guns unless you are ÜberCharged. If the Engineer has the Wrangler equipped, try to kill the Engineer first, then focus on the Sentry while it is powered down. Beware that an Engineer does have above average close-combat abilities; Revenge Crits from the Frontier Justice can shut down your future domination very quickly. For more information on how to effectively fight Engineers, see the article on Demoman match-ups.

Well Plaid!
Well Plaid!
Kill 10 enemies while assisting or being assisted by another Demoman.
Difficulty: Easy
How to obtain: Coordinate with friendly Demomen to focus on the same target, making sure both of you deal damage to an enemy before killing them.
