| + | Should we add that Valve seems to "toy" with us on the Pyro's gender? As from many things I've seen, heard, and discovered it seems Valve is trying to mess with our heads. One example would be a Post by a Valve Member (Robin Walker?) talking about the Pyro. He uses "he" twice then using "she" followed later by "he" again. Gender
In the class suggestion area of the TF2 main menu (right upper corner) pyro is being referred to as "her".
Why don't you give her a shot?
I consider this to be quite a confirmation enough to say that pyro is a woman. I've been on a many month break from TF2, but I know about the speculation and weird evidence for and against pyro being a woman. I'll be editing the article accordingly. --Maska 16:28, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

- That may just be referring to the fact that the voice actor is male. Truly, I believe there is no definitive answer and Valve will never provide one. Just leave the page ambiguous and let the conspiracy theories fly. It's fun! --Firestorm
