Some weapons have team multicolored lights. The stickybomb launcher just has plain white lights. - [[User:Devozade|Devozade]] 11:54, 16 December 2011 (PST)

:I think it has to do with whether the weapon is strange or not. My sticky launcher's weapon icon is multicoloured but the lights are white only [[User:Nanosheep|(nanosheep_inc)]] 16:29, 16 December 2011 (PST)

: If we look in the model and it looks like it's supposed to be animated, we can probably conclude that there's some kind of error/mistake/bug. Can someone verify that the Festive Stickybomb Launcher is even allowed to be team-colored? All the others are. &ndash; [[User:Fashnek|<span style="text-size:1.5em;font-weight:bold;color:#363;text-shadow:0 0 0.8em #6c6;">fashnek</span>]] ([[User talk:Fashnek|talk]]&#183;[[Special:Contributions/Fashnek|c]]) 15:45, 17 December 2011 (PST)

::The deal with the white lights is probably due to the Sticky Launcher still being one of the original models that doesn't have support for RED/BLU.  So if I had to guess Valve just went for the easy and made the light's white.  --[[User:Org|Org]] 01:23, 19 December 2011 (PST)

This article should really be simply titled "Festive", shouldn't it? It's basically an item quality, and the [[Vintage]], [[Strange]] etc. articles aren't called "Vintage weapons", "Strange Weapons" are they? : {{c|Agree}} Yep. [[User:Balladofwindfishes|Balladofwindfishes]] 14:51, 16 December 2011 (PST)

: {{c|Note}} It's not a quality; there are Strange Festive Scatterguns, for example. Plus, this article is currently only about weapons, since they are currently the only possible Festive items. So I {{c|Disagree}} {{n}} [[User:EpicEric|<span style="color:#5885A2;font-size:15px;font-family:'Trebuchet MS';text-shadow:#e3e3e3 1px 1px 0px;"><b>Epic Eric</b></span>]] <small> ([[User talk:EpicEric|T]] <nowiki>|</nowiki> [[Special:Contributions/EpicEric|C]])</small> 14:55, 16 December 2011 (PST)

:: {{c|Comment}} Strange quality applies only to weapons too. As for weapons which are both Festive and Strange - well, if an item could be both Vintage and Genuine, it wouldn't really effect how the [[Vintage]] and [[Genuine]] pages are set up, would it? '''» [[User:Cooper Kid|<span style="color:red">Coo</span><span style ="color:gray">per</span><span style ="color:blue"> Kid</span>]]''' <small>([[User_talk:Cooper Kid|blether]]) • ([[Special:Contributions/Cooper Kid|contreebs]])</small> 15:10, 16 December 2011 (PST)

:::Except that Genuine and Vintage do not stack up; Festive and Strange DO stack up, since Festive is not a quality, but rather a weapon name preffix. {{n}} [[User:EpicEric|<span style="color:#5885A2;font-size:15px;font-family:'Trebuchet MS';text-shadow:#e3e3e3 1px 1px 0px;"><b>Epic Eric</b></span>]] <small> ([[User talk:EpicEric|T]] <nowiki>|</nowiki> [[Special:Contributions/EpicEric|C]])</small> 16:29, 16 December 2011 (PST)

:{{c|Disagree}} Not a quality, and it's an overloaded term. Festive weapons can have an article, but I don't think "Festive" should have an article unless it's a disambiguation article. I think the best solution is the current one. Festive redirects to Festive weapons, which has a hatnote for Festive crates. If there are future uses, that might warrant a disambig. page at Festive. &ndash; [[User:Fashnek|<span style="text-size:1.5em;font-weight:bold;color:#363;text-shadow:0 0 0.8em #6c6;">fashnek</span>]] ([[User talk:Fashnek|talk]]&#183;[[Special:Contributions/Fashnek|c]]) 15:41, 17 December 2011 (PST)

Alright, it appears that the Strange Festive weapons have a new set of ranks, entirely separate from the classical Strange ranks, so my argument no longer has any footing. Case closed. == Strange festive rank table started ==

I've taken the data from STS and the regular strange ranks table and made this:

{{Festive strange weapon ranks}}

Before including in the main article:

* STS only shows 18 ranks, so the counts are probably wrong. Rank 0 has an empty string.

* Rank zero's an empty string... I've put in a message (in English and Italian)

* All the dictionary stuff seems to be missing

== The Bat ==

Alright there appears to be some back and forth about the bat.  As far as I can tell the bat only shows up as Strange.  I can't find any trace of a Unique one, except for some random data on TF2Stats, but since it's such a small number I don't exactly trust it.  Is there a verifiable backpack link that shows a Unique Festive Bat? --[[User:Org|Org]] 01:25, 19 December 2011 (PST)

The same people that have BMOC and Ebenezer are the ones that have non-Strange Festive Bat. &ndash; [[User:Fashnek|<span style="text-size:1.5em;font-weight:bold;color:#363;text-shadow:0 0 0.8em #6c6;">fashnek</span>]] ([[User talk:Fashnek|talk]]&#183;[[Special:Contributions/Fashnek|c]]) 10:09, 21 December 2011 (PST)

== Confirmation that the Bat must be Strange ==

Ok, I contacted the support to ask if the fact that there were no '''Unique''' Festive Bats was a bug/glitch and got an answer. [http://data110.free.fr/tf2/Bat.png Here is a link] to the answer.<br/>

Because I contacted the French support, I will put the translation here :

'''Me'''.

Thanks for the quick answer.

I already saw that answer on the Wiki, but no source affirm that the weapon must necessarily be Strange (this remains a suggestion from the members/players). It looks like a glitch, unless it's wanted by the developers.<br/>

Do you have any source? This would allow to complete the Wiki with a 100% reliable source. :)

Cordially,

'''Support'''.

Hello,

According to my sources, the weapon must be strange.<br/>

Feel free to contact us again if you have other questions.

Cordially,

<br />

So, according to the support, the Festive Bat '''MUST''' be '''Strange'''. It's not a glitch, nor a bug, it's a choice from the developers. :)

: Just keep in mind that just because they said it must be Strange does not mean it was an intentional choice rather than a mistake. &ndash; [[User:Fashnek|<span style="text-size:1.5em;font-weight:bold;color:#363;text-shadow:0 0 0.8em #6c6;">fashnek</span>]] ([[User talk:Fashnek|talk]]&#183;[[Special:Contributions/Fashnek|c]]) 10:13, 21 December 2011 (PST)

:: Good enough for me to say that it can only be uncrated as Strange.  The random unique ones out there due to however they showed up shouldn't keep the page from saying what is the normal case.  A note about the unique may be appropriate though at the end of the page. --[[User:Org|Org]] 14:31, 21 December 2011 (PST)
