Japanese stuff inside the texture file.

If you open the sbox2014_soldier_major_1_color.vtf and the sbox2014_soldier_major_color.vtf, you might notice two Japanese words (which seems to be the same word in both textures). I don't understand Japanese, but I couldn't find these words in the model itself.

The alpha mask on the sbox2014_soldier_major_color.vtf is a bit gray in half of the Japanese word.

Wow, you did find it! This (and this) is Japanese ascii art, "のワの" （No Wa No） that　represents a face of Haruka Amami, the main heroine of the The Idolmaster series. See here for more information. And I noticed the contributer is a fan of The Idolmaster.　That’s why. I think this is valuable trivia.　Can anybody add this trivia? Because I'm not good at English. I haven't played much Japanese games, but I really thank you for you guys reply so fast and someone already added to the Trivia. I ended up looking the Ground Control texture to use the Lenses Texture, since the GMOD has problems with lenses. Gabrielwoj (talk) 21:26, 19 March 2014 (PDT)

Not Major Zero?

While this is definitely a Metal Gear reference, I don't think the item is in reference to Major Zero. If you look at Master Miller you'll see he has aviators like this item, he has the headset from Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MG2), and the name Ground Control is a reference to Ground Zeroes (MGSV:GZ), the prologue of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (MGSV:TPP) which he makes an appearance in.
