Different Mann Co. Cap?

Is there a difference between this hat and the original Mann Co. Cap? Or do you just get both hats after making a purchase?--Sharpshooter 200 24:47, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

Slight difference. Mann Co. Cap is obtained by buying something from the INGAME shop. The Mann Co. Online Cap is obtained by making a purchased from the ONLINE shop. (Or atleast I think thats right and it sounds right.) Ashes 23:09, 21 December 2012 (PST)
Alright confirmation, Buying anything on the ONLINE store when you haven't earned the other mann co cap earns you both caps. Ashes 01:15, 26 December 2012 (PST)

Swapped with regular Mann Co. cap?

I'm not sure if it's just me, but sometimes my Mann Co. Cap looks exactly like this cap. The other times, it's just a regular Mann Co. Cap. At first I thought it was new style on the regular cap or something was wrong with the lighting. But I went into a bright area and it still looked like the Online Cap. --Moneypony 20:22, 23 December 2012 (PST)

I have used both the game store, and the new community market - I only have one cap though and when I choose to equip it depending on the class I get different hats! I guess I'll try to report in-game as opposed to here lol, but in case someone has similar problems.... Materiauser 16:26, 15 February 2013 (PST)

Portal 2 Co-Op?

Can anyone confirm that you can get this hat in Portal 2? I've launched Portal 2 after obtaining the hat, clicking on Robot Enrichment (which usually drops Team Fortress 2 transferred hats) and nothing happened. Furthermore, the reference page listed here, which links to an article for the Mann Co. Online Cap on the Portal Wiki, is entirely blank. MarioMaster2008 02:48, 26 December 2012 (PST)

Yeah, I went ahead and removed all mentions of this. After trying it myself, I, like many others, have realized that this is not the case. The only reference provided by the wiki was a page on the Portal Wiki that no longer exists. Also, Portal 2's item schema hasn't been updated since this hat has been released. --Acerocks910 17:06, 21 January 2013 (PST)

Preview angle

"Painted variants" section of the article doesn't do a very good job of depicting painted parts of the hat. Maybe it should be rendered from different angle. Panzer (talk) 13:12, 23 March 2014 (PDT)

Perhaps elaborate on the type of angle prefered so the users who do the painted images have a decent idea of how to modify it. Ashes (talk) 13:18, 23 March 2014 (PDT)
The part that is painted (the sides) aren't really shown in the preview images. Rotating them around a little more (this angle would be perfect) would make it easier to see how it looks. » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 08:27, 28 March 2014 (PDT)
I've gone and updated the images to show the painted areas better, thanks for bringing it up. --Omolong (talk) 17:33, 28 March 2014 (PDT)
Much more betterer, danke schoen » Cooper Kid (blether) • (contreebs) 09:37, 29 March 2014 (PDT)

Unavailable?

The Online store seems like it has been closed for good, which means the hat is not available anymore to obtain. DarkVulpes (talk) 04:03, 24 August 2014 (PDT)

Seems possible, everytime I visit it says that it is closed, plus the official website no longer seems to link to it anymore. RED Point and Shoot.pngBlk_Mage_Ctype 15:42, 3 January 2015 (PST)
