Anyway, I seem pretty outspoken on this topic, so if an absolute final decision is going to be made, I don't care either way. Head count with Splendid Screen

I'm just wondering, if the Splendid Screen will have the same damage increases with heads, like the charging targe does. Charging Targe never had that written up in the info but still has it, so it's possible that Splendid Screen will have it too. And will the +10 damage for each head be multiplied with 1.7, like the base damage does? Snipufin 08:45, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Eyelander only gives out health and speed, there isn't any damage bonus I've ever heard off. You can test this with tf_damage_disablespread 0. Clank 04:54, 26 June 2011 (PDT)
Actually, if you'd check the Charging Targe's demonstration video, there is a splitscreen part where an engineer is hit with eyelander once, and then charged into with the charging targe, comparing the damage with 0 and 5 heads. 0 heads does 50, while 5 heads does 100. I'm just wondering, if the same applies to Splendid Screen, and if so, how?(will a hit charge do 85, 135(85+5*10) or 170(85+5*10*1.7)? Snipufin 16:41, 26 June 2011 (PDT)
Okay, I did run a test with puppet bots, and apparently it does increase it's damage. I had damage spread on accidentally, but the damage was around 160 to 195, which makes it possible to instakill pyros with the charge itself, while letting you swing too. Snipufin 08:10, 27 June 2011 (PDT)

Halved

Emm, as far as I understand English, it says that resistance is halved, but in description its increased, is it the same problem as the Atomizer 10 damage problem is? Restline 19:33, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Styles

If I recall correctly, this weapon actually has styles. This should probably be mentioned. --Uncle Richardson 04:34, 24 June 2011 (PDT)

I can confirm now that the weapon does indeed have styles: Classic, Spike, and Arrow. So the only listed bug here isn't actually wrong, it just only has one kill icon, which is correct for one style, but not the others.

Slight error

I think this is a bug: it's not mentioned on the blog and can be done with targe. Same with jumping and charging. I'm having fun abusing the "bunny hop" (so to speak) right now, but removing this unless confirmed. Clank 04:57, 26 June 2011 (PDT)

bash allows instant crit at any range?

I've been using the splendid screen set lately, and I've found that following a successful shield bash with an immediate swing from the persian persuader always gives a crit, even if I didn't rush the full distance needed to gain crits. Might be wrong, of course. Can anyone confirm/disprove this? Stripedy 11:01, 29 June 2011 (PDT)

As far as I know, you don't even have to connect the shield bash to make a crit. But yeah, I confirm that, and so does weapon strategy page. Snipufin 12:28, 29 June 2011 (PDT)

Styles in view model

They do show up. For 2 handed weapons all styles show up. For the Saxxy and Persian Persuader, only the arrow style shows up (the spike is there, it's just obstructed). For Demoman's other one handed weapons, the shield doesn't show up. That's going to be a pretty huge gallery! Balladofwindfishes 20:02, 9 July 2011 (PDT)
