Why don't we

Rename this article "Slowdown"? -- OluapPlayer (t) Howdy, pardner! 22:54, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Shouldn't the beginning of the article read "Slowdown or Slow..." now?

Thought

I was inclined to create an article that simply covered 'Speed Modification' in general; both faster and slower, for yourself and your opponents. But suggesting that after this article was written felt like pedantic nitpickery on my part. ._.; -- MistahFixIt 17:49, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

I agree though - we could add to this article the effects of the Equalizer, Chargin' Targe, GRU, and Spy's Disguise Kit (are there any more effects?) AlpineWolf 19:45, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

The "stub" solution?

While it is hard to show the slowdown via Picture or such, wouldent it be simpler for a video of the natasha and shortstop doing the actions on VR_WALKWAY? (i would do it but i have no idea how to even record videos, or demos, or even where to find the VR_WALKWAY.) Gamecrazy009 01:20, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

It's TR_Walkway, but the map is currently experiencing issues. It'd be equally easy to upload a video of someone using Natascha on another map. Still, I don't think this would solve the stub problem considering it's missing an image. -Nerdboy 01:25, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Mention other effects?

Because of the way Valve implemented the slowdown effect on weapons, it prevents players from taunting, which means players can't consume a Sandvich or Bonk! during that time. I've heard reports this can also cause the item to act as if it has been used. Perhaps this should be added to the page? -Nerdboy 01:25, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

The first bit is true, whoever told you the second part has probably never been pelted at long range by Natascha while desperately trying to take a swig of Bonk!. Not sure about the Shortstop, as they handle Slowdown in two different ways. -The Neotank ( | Talk) User The Neotank Signeotank.gif 01:29, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
You can't consume sandviches or taunt what-so-ever if you are hit by Natascha. Try it yourself. -Nerdboy 01:41, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
This isn't unique to Natascha. Being injured in general will interrupt taunt animations (of which, Sandvich's effect is also a taunt) -- MistahFixIt 01:48, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
I do believe you're mistaken. Damage is not the interrupting factor, it's the way Valve implemented the slowdown that causes the taunt to cancel. -Nerdboy 00:31, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

Shortstop Bug?

Since when does the shortstop not work? I was under the impression that it works, the effect is just subtle. Kane.malakos 03:32, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Slowdown =/= Stun , right?

Do the Sandman and Scared effects really belong here, given that there's a separate article for Stun? The game considers players under these effects to be stunned (when going for, say, achievements). I'm kind of in favor of taking those out, but I figure it would be best to ask first...InShane 10:23, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Language Error

The Razorback point in the "Removed Slowdown Effects" paragraph is not in English. Can someone change this? The preceding unsigned comment was added by Archrelico (talk) • (contribs) 01:53, 8 April 2016
