Jumping the Gun

While it is exciting and exhilarating to be the first to know about updates, I would recommend not putting false information on the wiki until you can confirm first hand in game or through the Half Life Model Viewer that items are paintable, tradable, giftable, etc. This would pertain to your preemptive edit on the Stockbroker's Scarf concerning paintability. Thanks! ventus|talk  03:41, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Anti-Aliasing

How do you get such good anti-alias on your screenshots from HLMV? I mean, I have anti-aliasing on for HLMV, but I can't maintain it when I edit it in Photoshop. Any tips? SleepySteve 18:33, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

How are your pictures so smooth?

I noticed all of your images are incredibly smooth, there is no really well lit parts (Concentration of light which makes it really white) like the demoman for example, in HLMV his model is incredibly... shiny? Yah sure. Your images just seem to be all lit evenly, your images are beautiful. Any suggestions on how I can fix this lighting problem of mine? NeonHeights 22:56, 4 July 2011 (PDT)

Multiple Class Pictures

Ceiling Man, I was struck by your Dr. Whoa Medic/Spy side-by-side photo. I thought if you could apply this and make better pictures of the Pocket Medic, Team Captain, and Private Eye, it would save the wiki some space and look pretty cool. Could you do so? Shouldn't be a problem, I'll see what I can do before/after my Thanksgiving vacation. Ceiling Man 19:36, 22 November 2011 (PST)

TF2 cubemap texture?

Where might i locate this cubemap that resembles 2Fort? Or it's not a texture that can be found in the game files and instead has to be downloaded like the blank fire overlay? Masterlegodude 15:10, 16 December 2011 (PST)

Trivia For Waxy Wayfinder

Do you have a citation for the following factoid: "According to the item's creator, the Waxy Wayfinder took roughly five hours to make"

http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Waxy_Wayfinder

If not, I'm going to delete it soon. Thanks.Reverend 21:11, 26 March 2012 (PDT)

Front Runner

Yo, just thought I'd draw your attention to File:Item_icon_Front_Runner.png, it's pretty poor quality but I know that Item Icons are your 'department', so to speak. User Rebmcr Sig.png 03:08, 26 May 2012 (PDT)

Any idea whats going on?

I know you're good with HLMV, so ill tell you my problem. I got a new computer recently, huge upgrade in everything including the graphics card, im using the 3gb Radeon 7970 now, but for some reason in HLMV im getting these weird shader errors. Check it out here: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/706/sdkshadererror.jpg/ I have no idea whats going on, my dxsupport file is fine, and there are no conflicting materials that would have caused this... any idea?

Sniper's Snipin' Glass

Please, could you retake File:Sniper's Snipin' Glass.png, hiding the glasses bodygroup? Thanks. – Smashman (talk) 05:57, 1 August 2014 (PDT)

Not my page and all that obviously, but I'll put this in anyway. There's no glasses bodygroup, so nothing can be done about the glasses showing up with the item. --Omolong (talk) 06:35, 1 August 2014 (PDT)

Crocodile Dandy

Dear Ceiling Man, With the class image for the Crocodile Dandy, you have the sniper with the normal bullets in his front pocket, this should actually be the darts for the Sydney Sleeper.
--Lexzach (talk) 01:18, 25 June 2021 (UTC)

Hi. The workshop submission had the bullets to fit the theme of the cosmetic. However, the cosmetic does not show the bullets. I checked items_game.txt (Item schema), and there's no "visuals" { "player_bodygroups" { "bullets" "1" }..., which is something that the Sydney Sleeper has. Texture quality

Hi. Thanks for coming back to the Wiki and contributing on the images. I just wanted to let you know that the textures on your images aren't high quality. dxsupport.cfg is reset upon verying the files on Steam. You can try a pre-configured dxsupport.cfg here, but make sure to backup yours first. It is not needed to re-do your images in higher quality, it's not much of a big deal, I'm just telling you this for future pictures. Good to be back! And shoot! Can't believe I didn't notice that, just fixed it. 'Preciate it. Pyro emblem RED.pngCeiling Man 19:53, 25 June 2021 (UTC)

Sure thing man. As far as I know, only the main model itself (class textures) are affected by texture quality, and not the "Weapons" you attach on HLMV, so that's why it's not needed to re-do them. If you get the "grey cornea" issue, make sure to read this part of Help:HLMV page for troubleshooting.
