zombie survival

this edit

If the Solemn Vow's bonus feature is unnecessary, then it is essentially the same as the Bonesaw. Then why recommend Bonesaw but say: "Weapons that are discouraged from use in Zombie Survival...the Solemn Vow"? Why not just put it right next to the Bonesaw?

Besides, it could still be useful. Engineers take 2 hits (or 3 with Gunslinger) to kill when prone. But when they aren't prone? If you're attacking a group of Engies that will likely kill you soon, you should probably choose a target to go after, and the Vow can help. ⇒Leaderboard class spy.png Anyar (talk/contributions/giveaway) 15:03, 17 October 2017 (PDT)

I don't intend to promote the weapon as ideal or anything, I'm just saying that it's unnecessary to say it's a bad weapon. ⇒Leaderboard class spy.png Anyar (talk/contributions/giveaway) 19:52, 21 October 2017 (PDT)
Thanks dude. Good work with the article otherwise. ⇒Leaderboard class spy.png Anyar (talk/contributions/giveaway) 16:49, 22 October 2017 (PDT)

Fortress Blast

Hi there,

Seeing as this mod was released recently, and that you (the author) is the developer as well, this sort of leaves the impression of an attempt to openly promote said mod by using the Wiki as an advertisement tool.

While any user may contribute an article, it is usually highly frowned upon when creators do so in order to gain exposure for their work.

Even if that wasn't the intent, the mod in question does not adhere to our guidelines in regard to Mod notability, and therefore the page will be subject to deletion.

If you do however, have any concrete proof of significant notability, please provide it on its talk page. Do feel free to move the content to your user space instead. Thanks! User Wookipan Golden Strawberry.png Wookipan (talk | contribs) 16:52, 17 November 2019 (UTC)

I understand the suspicion here, the plugin hasn't been covered by any YouTubers yet and the co-creator of the plugin hasn't contributed to the page yet either. I encourage you to wait until the near end of the week, as we do have YouTube coverage planned, and I will make sure that the co-creator also contributes. User:Wookipan The mod is already being "run on multiple servers" so it does meet the notability. There is also a youtube video that will come out sometime this week. Naleksuh (talk) 23:02, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
Again, as the mod was released pretty recently, I find it quite hard to believe that it's already being run on multiple servers across different communities, with high player activity. That said, please keep in mind that coverage via YouTube widely depends on the scale of audience; if the channel doesn't have a large enough audience, i.e. subscribers, views, then it simply won't count as being showcased by a "prominent YouTuber", thus rendering the entry invalid. I am willing to wait a week before a final decision is made, we'll then decide if the mod meets the necessary requirements or not. The channel in question has 86.5K subscribers, so I'm fairly certain that they count. Jack5wikia (talk) 02:43, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
The mod is currently being run on three different communities (Official, Rushy, and RBC). Additionally, a YouTube video about fortress blast was published with 3808 views as of 11/19/19 @ 09:51am. So the notability conversation is basically over now. Naleksuh (talk) 17:51, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
That does seem like a reasonable amount, yes. As no links were provided, I took it upon myself to look up the alluded video, and it appears to have been met with a positive note from the community which also is a clear factor of trending popularity. Is good. User Wookipan Golden Strawberry.png Wookipan (talk | contribs) 20:19, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
