A Chemistry Set is an in-game drop item released in the August 27, 2013 Patch. Chemistry Sets are recipe items that have varying inputs and varying outputs. You can complete a Chemistry Set by fulfilling all of its inputs, which will then give you the items it has listed in its outputs. There is an indicator in the upper left corner of the Set's inventory icon indicating the number of inputs you posses. Currently, Chemistry Sets drop a Strangifier for the item the Set is associated with, which, when used with the item, will turn the it into a Strange variant.

Trivia

  • Not every Chemistry Set for an item will have the same requirements.
  • It appears that every Chemistry Set recipe requires one strange weapon and several unique weapons.
