| The Soldier can easily eliminate your advantage in speed/movement by shooting a rocket at your feet, which is very dangerous. In most situations, it would be better to avoid a Soldier entirely. However, if you know he is at low health - flank him in a blind spot and take him out before he can see you. If he's blocking you path, just throw a conc at him and run pass him, since wiht his slow speed, he won't be able to catch you.

| The Demoman relies on spam and his damaging explosives to deal with enemies. He has the same close range weapon you have, except less maneuverability. Be careful about his spam on approach, and once up close do your best to not get hit. Despite your ability to dodge, you will die in 2 hits from his Shotgun. Thus, do your best to not get hit and never. stop. moving!!

vs Scoutnew tfc.png
Scout
(match-ups)
In a match against an enemy Scout, it comes down to aim and dodging. On the dodging part, spam strafe keys and try to force him to miss. With aim, try to land all of your shots. If you are not particularly good at hitting with the Shotgun, take out your nailgun and scroll the mouse left and right quickly and some of them will probably hit.
Scoutnew tfc.png
Scout
vs Snipernew tfc.png
Sniper
(match-ups)
If a Sniper is making havoc on your team, try to get him to focus on you, thus allowing the rest of your team to advance while you fruitlessly attempts to shoot you. If you are on a map with battlements on equal sides (IG: 2Fort), use concussion grenades to jump to the other side at a really fast speed.
Scoutnew tfc.png
Scout
vs Soldiernew tfc.png
Soldier
(match-ups)
The Soldier can easily eliminate your advantage in speed/movement by shooting a rocket at your feet, which is very dangerous. In most situations, it would be better to avoid a Soldier entirely. However, if you know he is at low health, flank the Soldier in a blind spot and take him out before he can see you. If he's blocking your path, throw a concussion grenade at him to run past him. With the Soldier's slow speed, he won't be able to catch you.

Scout
vs Demomannew tfc.png
Demoman
(match-ups)
The Demoman relies on spam and his damaging explosives to deal with enemies. He has the same close range weapon you have, except less maneuverability. Be careful about his spam on approach, and once up close, do your best to not get hit. Despite your ability to dodge, you will die in 2 hits from his Shotgun. Thus, strafe and keep pressure on the Demoman. Using a Concussion Grenade can aid you very well in this fight.

Medic
(match-ups)
Despite being called a Medic, the Medic is very powerful. He is the 2nd fastest class in the game, and in addition - Every weapon he has is like yours but better. This is one of the harder classes to fight, due to him usually being around team-mates and them trying to kill you. If you do catch a Medic without a team, you're going to want to out-do him in dodging and still land your shots. He is basically an Alpha Scout, so if things get too dicey, use your concussion grenade to make a quick-getaway.

Scout
vs Heavynew tfc.png
Heavy
(match-ups)
The Heavy will destroy you. Do not engage him unless he has lost a lot of health. If you try to flank him, odds are that he will figure it out, turn to you, and destroy you with his ridiculously damaging assault cannon. If you are forced into this fight, make use of your speed and Concussion Grenade. If you can successfully hit your grenade, your Nailgun can have the chance to deal constant damage whereas it would be difficult to use otherwise. Remember, fighting a Heavy is normally suicide by yourself, and if you are ever to engage him alone, your goal is to run away.
Scoutnew tfc.png
Scout
vs Pyronew tfc.png
Pyro
(match-ups)
The Pyro can easily beat you, but unlike the heavy he will not destroy you. To beat a Pyro, kite him with your weapons and don't let him use his flamethrower.
Scoutnew tfc.png
Scout
vs Spynew tfc.png
Spy
(match-ups)
As a Scout, your secondary job is to find enemy Spies. Run into all of your teammates and they may end up being a Spy. When doing this, have your Shotgun out because if you reveal him as a Spy, you're going to want to kill him before he can land a shot on you. Once you kill him, shoot his corpse to make sure he didn't feign his death.
Scoutnew tfc.png
Scout
vs Engineernew tfc.png
Engineer
(match-ups)
The Engineer will usually stay close to his Sentry Gun, and the sentry is something that can easily deny you access to an area. However, if you find him without his sentry just jump around him to dodge all of his shots and kill him quickly. Use your nailgun to take down the Sentry Gun. It is not as effective as the Medic's super-nailgun but it gets the job done since you have more ammo.
Scoutnew tfc.png
Scout
vs Civilian tfc.png
Civilian
(match-ups)
The Civilian is an easy to kill class. However, he is always surrounded by team-mates. Communicate with your team and use your concussion grenades to scramble his escort.

Note that the Scout is not normally in the VIP mode.
