The Bounty Hat is a promotional headwear item for Team Fortress 2 that was awarded to players who completed 5 out of 28 objectives in The Great Steam Treasure Hunt. It appears as a worn-out tricorne hat with a closed treasure chest on top of it.
Users who completed the required number of Treasure Hunt objectives needed to go to the promotion page and click the '"Unlock Hat"' button to have the hat added to their backpack. When the user obtained 15 Treasure Hunt achievements, the Bounty Hat could be upgraded to the Treasure Hat by returning to the promotion page and clicking on the same button.
Bugs
- The Bounty Hat sometimes has a visual glitch where the only visible texture is the gold lining of the chest and the rest of the hat has higher UV value with the texture.
Trivia
- The Soldier wears this hat backwards.
