The Blighted Beak is a community-created headwear item for the Medic. It appears as an old bird-like respirator.
Trivia
- The Blighted Beak is styled after primitive respirators historically worn by plague physicians, which was used to protect themselves from diseases and other airborne illnesses. The beak end is usually full of herbs and ingredients that were said to have resistance over the plague.
- Before it was officially added in the game it was released as a skin replacing the Physician's Procedure Mask by Pie_Tony and Communist Cake in the TF2 Mod Emporium at Facepunch forums.
- The Blighted Beak is a little reminiscent of a party favor mask worn by Splicers from Bioshock and Bioshock 2
