Template:Weapon infobox The Frying Pan is an unlockable weapon included in the Polycount Pack, used by the Soldier and Demoman. Gameplay-wise it has no difference from the Shovel and/or Bottle; it is just a different model as with the Big Kill and Lugermorph . It can be crafted with either a Soldier or Demoman token, a melee token, and a scrap metal. The weapon is likely related to the new Left 4 Dead 2 campaign, "The Sacrifice". See the video below for details of how it looks and acts when used.

Trivia

  • The Frying Pan is a melee weapon in another Valve game, Left 4 Dead 2. (It is possible that this weapon may be unlocked by getting a certain L4D2 achievement)
  • However, it is not the same Frying Pan as seen in Left 4 Dead 2.
  • The Frying Pan is similar in style to the Stainless Pot.
  • A similar Frying Pan was designed for the fake Fancy vs. Nasty update.
  • The Demoman's taunt with the Frying Pan is the same as that of the Bottle, so he drinks the Frying Pan as he does the Pain Train.
  • As a Soldier, selecting the Frying Pan, like the Pain train , still creates the sound heard when the Shovel flips open.
