The Goldrush Update, also referred to as the Medic Update, was a patch for the Medic, the first class to have a major content pack released. The Update also added the Payload gamemode and included the release of the Team Fortress 2 Character Info and Loadout system, which allowed players to equip different Primary, Secondary, and Melee weapons. Meet the Scout was also released alongside the update, although it was listed at the bottom of the page rather than as a major part of the Update. The Update was released on April 29th, 2008.
