The Goldrush Update, also referred to as the Medic Update, was the first major content update for Team Fortress 2.

The patch centered around the update of the Medic as the first class to recieve major content. Alongside the introduction of three Medic weapons, the Character Info and Loadout system was implemented to allow players to equip different Primary, Secondary, and Melee weapons that would come in later updates. The patch also detailed the introduction of the new Payload gamemode, and included the release of Meet the Scout. Numerous improvements and additions were also included as part of the update.

The update was released on April 29th, 2008.
