The Hero's Hachimaki is a headwear item for the Soldier. It is a team-colored headband featuring a white circle and star design in the center. It is worn over the Soldier's eyes, a design styled after the feature character of the game Homefront.

Players who pre-purchased Homefront on Steam before March 15, 2011 were awarded with a Genuine quality version of this item. As of May 12, 2011 it was made craftable.

Trivia

• A Template:W (鉢巻, lit. "helmet-scarf") is a stylized headband in Japanese culture, usually made of red or white cloth. It was worn as a symbol of perseverance or effort by the wearer. Japanese kamikaze pilots in Template:W would often wear hachimakis before flying to their deaths.
• The design features the red star of Communism from the Template:W, the main antagonist in Homefront.
• Homefront was unavailable for pre-purchase on Steam in the United Kingdom, as any attempt to pre-purchase it displayed an error. According to an e-mail from Robin Walker, Valve was considering ways to ensure players from the UK could obtain the item. Eventually, the hat was made craftable.
