Completing a Two Cities Tour automatically grants you a Killstreak Kit, which you can apply to any weapon to transform it into a Killstreak weapon. Completing the Tour also grants you a fabricator and spare parts that you can use to craft progressively rarer Killstreak Kits, which will add cool visual effects to your weapon and eventually even your character.
— Two Cities Update

Killstreak Kits are recipe items for specific weapons. Awarded upon completing a full Operation Two Cities tour, Killstreak Kits function similarly to Chemistry Sets; in exchange for specific ingredients, the Kit outputs a rare Killstreak variant.

After upgrading a weapon to Killstreak quality, a kill counter appears in the player's HUD, and resets only upon player death. Most notably, Killstreak weapons display unique features depending on the weapon's level and the amount of kills; whilst a level 1 weapon simply tracks kills, higher levels can add a colored sheen and can display unusual effects.

Standard Killstreak Kits

Standard Killstreak Kits are the most common variety, and simply add a HUD kill counter. Unlocked after every tour of Two Cities, the Kit functions similarly to a small scale Strangifier; weapons track kills, but instead of counting lifetime kills like their Strange counterparts, Killstreaks measure frags in a single life. Applying a Standard Kit comes at no additional cost (beyond the kit itself), but can only be applied to a specific, pre-determined weapon. Killstreak Kits can be applied to Strange weapons to maintain two counters.

Specialized Killstreak Kits

Specialized Killstreak Kit

Acting as the next level to Standard Kits, the Specialized Kits apply a colored sheen to the weapon, and require specific ingredients to work. As a player's streak increases, the weapon's glow becomes more intense. In order to upgrade with a Specialized Kit, players require a Level 1 Killstreak weapon, along with a random selection of loot; said loot is dropped after every completed Two Cities map (e.g. Battle-Worn Robot Money Furnace).

Below are the currently known colors:

  • Team Shine
  • Hot Rod
  • Manndarin
  • Deadly Daffodil
  • Mean Green
  • Agonizing Emerald
  • Villainous Violet

Professional Killstreak Kits

Professional Killstreak Kit

The final level of Killstreak weapons, Professional Kits are the rarest variation. Adding to the Specialized Kit's colored glow, Professional Kits add a particle effect to the player somewhat similarly to unusual cosmetics. Professional weapons not only cost a Level 2 weapon and spare ingredients to upgrade, but also require players to sacrifice another Killstreak weapon (of any level).

While the weapon is equipped and the player has a killstreak of at least five, the effect will become visible. This effect, similar to that of the Eyelander, will match the color of the weapon's glow, and will come from the player's eyes. The effect will become more intense when the killstreak passes 10 kills.

Below are the currently known Killstreaker effects:

  • Cerebral Discharge
  • Fire Horns
  • Flames
  • Hypno-Beam
  • Incinerator
  • Singularity
  • Tornado
