The Officer's Ushanka is an unlockable headwear item for the Heavy. It appears as a black sheepskin and wool-lined cap with ear-flaps, which have been tied up and away from the head, and a single gold star set into the front of the hat.

Trivia
- During the Winter War with Finland in 1939, thousands of Russian soldiers died of cold due to organizational failures and inadequate equipment. Reforms were undertaken and the Red Army introduced a new winter uniform, which included ushanka to replace budyonovkas (a sort of Ushanka predecessor). German soldiers started to use this and other gear unofficially, though copies were introduced rather late in the war. This is when the Ushanka became well-known outside of Russia.
- Ushankas are often made from cheap sheepskin, rabbit or muskrat fur, though artificial fur hats are also manufactured. Artificial fur has sometimes been referred to as "fish fur" since the material has no relation to any real fur. The simplest "fish fur" of Ushankas was made of wool pile with cloth substrate and cloth top, with the exception of flaps, in which pile was exposed.
- Before the Classless Update was released, there was already a community skin to turn the Football Helmet into an ushanka.
- The star that appears in the Officer's Ushanka is yellow, but in real life Ushankas it usually appears red.
- The Officer's Ushanka does not seem to have a clasp or clip to keep the ear protectors up.

- Ushanka is currently the only hat referring to his homeland.
- If painted with the Extraordinary Abundance of Tinge it is similar to the ushankas that russian pornstars or models use.
