Auf Wiedersehen, Schweinehunds!
The Medic

The Planeswalker Helm is a headwear item for the Medic. It is a battered team-colored helmet, decorated with short spikes, a visor with small eye holes and two tusks that extend along the length of the wearer's jaw. It resembles the tusked helmet worn by Garruk Wildspeaker, a planeswalker character from the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering.

The Planeswalker Helm was distributed to players who preordered Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 on Steam before June 15, 2011.

Trivia

  • Garruk Wildspeaker is a druid-like planeswalker aligned with green magic. It is a color associated with life, nature, healing and increasing creatures' strength in the card game -- rather appropriate for the Medic's playstyle with the Medi Gun and Kritzkrieg.[1][2]
  • The item description is a reference to Garruk being a creature mage who is known for summoning large savage beasts.[3]
