Steven Spielberg. Robert Scorcese. Socrates. The guy who made those Old Spice commercials. What do these names have in common? They are the four best filmmakers in the world. And they all got there the same way: by competing in a filmmaking competition we're just now announcing.

The Replay Update is a major content update for Team Fortress 2 and was released on May 5, 2011. It introduced Replays, which allowed a player to take a video of the player's life after death. The player can edit videos to their heart's content, and upload them to YouTube.

The Replay system allows for players to record their previous life by pressing F6 (default) after they have died. The clips can then subsequently be editted and submitted to YouTube™, all within the game itself.

Crafted headgear reward

Although not officially stated anywhere, the reward for early crafters of new hats (beginning with the replay update) is that you get the #1-100 attached to the end of the hat's name, for the first 100 people that successfully craft a new hat. Beyond that #100, they will NOT show up in game, but will only show up in backpack viewers because it is a tag in the backpack API.
