The Beta Split Equalizer 1 is a melee weapon for the Soldier that currently only exists in Team Fortress 2 Beta. It uses the Equalizer model.

There are currently two variants of this weapon. In the Beta Split Equalizer 1, like the regular Equalizer, the movement speed of the player increases as their Health diminishes. However, it does the same damage regardless of the user's current health. Soldiers are unable to call for Medics or be healed by them while this weapon is active.

In the Beta Split Equalizer 2, like the regular Equalizer, the damage of the player increases as their Health diminishes. However, it does not give the user any speed boost. Soldiers are unable to call for Medics or be healed by them while this weapon is active.

Since the item is still in an unreleased stage, these attributes may be changed or the weapon may be scrapped entirely.

Speed

Speed values are based on player's current health. For reference, the standard movement speed is 100%, which is 300 velocity units per second — the speed of the Spy, Sniper, Engineer and Pyro — whilst the Scout moves at 400v, 33% above the standard movement speed.

Scales inversely with health. Approximately 107.25 − 0.375 × H (113.7 minus 0.405 multiplied H), where H is the amount of health the player currently has as a percentage of their max health, with a minimum of 33 when the player is at or above 100% health, and a maximum of 107 (before random damage and critical hits).
