- The Angel of Death was the angel that brought the Tenth Plague according to the Hebrew Bible.
- The name of the item is a reference to Template:W, the infamous nazi scientist who conducted various inhumane experiments on the inmates of the Template:W concentration camp. It is also the title of one of the best known Slayer's Template:W, which was also based on the biography of the aforementioned scientist.
