Upon taunting with the Sandman equipped, the Scout points to the sky, winds up, and swings, killing anyone slow, unaware, or simply unfortunate enough to be hit by it, knocking the victim's ragdoll a considerable distance away. Although the entirety of the wind-up is silent, a successful hit will result in the cheers of an invisible crowd. This attack has a five second wind-up time, making it both the longest taunt in the game as well as the longest kill taunt.

Previous Changes

• Originally, the Scout was meant to speak while pointing for the duration of the taunt. This was later patched and cut out.

Trivia

• The taunt is a reference to Babe Ruth's famous called shot.
• The point at which the taunt will kill enemies is when the Scout starts to come in for the swing, not when the bat comes into contact.
• The associated achievement, Out of The Park, is only awarded if the enemy ragdoll travels 25 meters. However, this distance does not have to be done in a single taunt attack; merely taunt killing multiple enemies so that the sum of the distance their ragdolls travel equals 25 meters will be sufficient to award the achievement.
• Players can perform this taunt in conjunction with Bonk! Atomic Punch. Should the Scout take a drink, and immediately taunt with his Sandman, the taunt will be performed exactly during the period of invincibility. If not done quickly enough, the radiation will wear off and cut off the taunt.
