The Engineer on buying the game

The Proof of Purchase is a special headwear item for all classes. It appears as an olive green Template:W with slight battle damage and Team Fortress 2 logo of a slightly darker shade emblazoned on the side. A narrow belt with a gold buckle extends around the back, over the wearer's neck.

This hat is available to those who purchased Team Fortress 2 before the Über Update on June 23, 2011[1], those who received a gift of the game[2], and those who activated a retail copy of the game.
