The Spirit Of Giving is a miscellaneous-item for all classes that tracks the number of Secret Saxtons or Pile o' Gifts you give away, and increases its rank accordingly. It appears as a large grey box pinned on the chest of players, with a beating heart and bubble animations. As the rank increases, the heart grows larger.

Notes

Although the Pile o' Gifts is capable of giving up to 23 other gifts in one use, if there are fewer than 23 players on the server, the counter will increase by the number of gifts awarded, not 23.

Trivia

  • The item's appearance is based on the final scene of Template:W, when an X-Ray shows his heart enlarging after he realizes the true meaning of the holiday."
    • Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy is the thickening and growth of the heart, a reference to the same scene.
  • The term "Smissmas" was used in the November 14th blogpost.
  • The lowest amount of money that a player can spend on Secret Saxtons alone (not including any Secret Saxtons gained via trading) to increase the level of this item to it's maximum would be $495 (295€, £370). The lowest amount of money that a player can spend on Piles O' Gifts alone (assuming that it is used on a full 24-man server every time) to increase the level of this item to it's maximum would be $439.78 (329.78€, £3329.78).

Bugs

  • The method of levelling The Spirit of Giving contained inside the Mann Co. Catalogue states that it is levelled by the number of duels, like a Duel Class Badge.
