War Paint Icons Display Properly

Today's patch fixed the War Paint icons appearing incorrectly on the Community Market and Steam inventories; so now you can get the new backpack icons up, right? -MarioMaster2008 (talk) 22:56, 3 January 2018 (PST)

Looks like someone uploaded them already. — Tark lm(pt-br) 04:20, 4 January 2018 (PST)

New main Menu backgrounds and characters?

The main menu article's section on backgrounds and characters hasn't been updated since 2015. Can you upload the Meet Your Match, Team Heavy vs. Team Pyro, Jungle Inferno and Scream Fortress 2017 backgrounds; as well as the Saxton Hale characters for both Jungle Inferno and Smissmas 2017, and the Thermal Thruster Pyro character? After that, we'd be caught up, I think. I would do it myself, but all the textures in the console folder of textures_dir are 1024x1024, and your uploads are of a different resolution than that, so I don't know where you get them. Thanks! -MarioMaster2008 (talk) 02:42, 15 February 2018 (UTC)

File:Backpack Unfilled Fancy Spellbook.png, et. al.

So, previous to last night, the backpack icon in the Item infobox of Unfilled Fancy Spellbook displayed, instead, the backpack icon of the filled Fancy Spellbook.

A redirect (File:Backpack Unfilled Fancy Spellbook.png) had been created way back then instead of an actual image -- I can only guess because no one at the time had captured the imaged of the Unfilled Fancy Spellbook before they filled it.

Last night I managed to figure out how to get all of the translations of Unfilled Fancy Spellbook to display the correct Unfilled Fancy Spellbook image, even if it is not the properly formatted filename, without doing too much damage, I hope.

So, my question to you is, would it be worth it to move File:Unfilled Fancy Spellbook.png to File:Backpack Unfilled Fancy Spellbook.png and delete File:Backpack Spell Book.png? Mikado282 (talk) 15:46, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

Of course! Thanks for your edits! — Tark lm(pt-br) 16:25, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the delete and move. And thank you very much for the feedback. Mikado282 (talk) 21:31, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

Deleted thing

Hi Tark Im Timwardo, and i saw you deleted an edit of mine because it was 5 years ago. I thought it was a recent section and because the Beta is still there i put a response in. I would like a warning though, because at first I thought you deleted it for no reason and i was a bit upset, but I want to thank you anyway. Timwardo (talk) 23:51, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi, Timwardo!
The beta was removed from the Latest updates section in 2014. I'll see if I can archive these old discussions later this week. — Tark lm(pt-br) 12:57, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
Thanks Tark, I originally thought the section was about the beta being on the Index, that's why i made the edit. Timwardo (talk) 18:59, 21 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi Tark, i wanted to thank you for correcting my mistake on the Assasin's Attire. It looks like I accidentally change the Original rather than the new translated page. Im really sorry about that. Scourge (talk) 22:53, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

Question

ive seen that my images need improvement. I understand posing but im not so sure about "quality" thanks in advance! Hexusny (talk) 11:20, 26 August 2018 (UTC)

Heya,
By "better quality" I meant that your video settings are too low (e.g.: white outlines (anti-aliasing), model quality). Since I don't make HLMV images, I can only recommend that you read this tutorial on how to correctly set-up the model viewer. — Tark lm(pt-br) 20:04, 26 August 2018 (UTC)

Recent Tournament / Tip of the Hats Medal Names + Steam IDs

Hi there, it seems that WindBOT hasn't been properly cataloging names or Steam IDs tied to contributors for recent tournament or community medals. I've personally put the proper strings in the correct dictionaries some time ago, and the name strings in the tournament medal subsection of dictionary/items even have some translations, but they're not getting pushed to the pages. I tried pinging Wind about it through his discussion page, but he hasn't gotten back to me. Can you look into this? These are the items I know are currently effected:

I realize that we can use the Steamid template in a contributor field to link to a Steam profile in the meantime; however, I am worried about entering an item's name string myself, so I've asked you about it, after giving WindBOT ample time to properly enter it in itself. I was worried about adding name strings in myself, as the wiki warns you not to. Again, each medal is set up to receive the proper string, and the strings are listed in the items section of the dictionary. The only one to watch out for is that the Brazil Fortress medals use Portuguese strings by default, which are listed there correctly as well. Thanks for your time! -MarioMaster2008 (talk) 05:15, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
