The Vintage Merryweather is a community-created headwear item for the Pyro, released with the second wave of community-contributed content. It appears as a black and gold Merryweather helmet, as used by 19th century fire brigades.
The description of this was written by ASpieboy for the Hat Describing Contest, and was slightly modified by Valve.

Trivia
- Merryweather helmets were originally produced by the Template:W, a 19th-century British manufacturer of firefighting equipment.
- The Merryweather was originally submitted as the "Vintage Pyrolean" - a play on the already released Vintage Tyrolean's name - and is labeled "pyrolean" in the game files.
- Initially, the Vintage Merryweather was entirely gold, but the author later changed it to its current state.
