The Bushwacka is a community-made weapon for the Sniper that occupies the melee slot. It is an enormous Template:W with a serrated spine, a small hole near the back of the blade and a wooden handle with gold pommel and guard.
When attacking with this weapon in a situation where it would normally deliver a mini-crit, it will instead do a full-blown critical hit. This makes it devastating when paired with Jarate, a friendly Buff Banner, or when a target previously hit with the Sydney Sleeper, the Fan O'War, or under the influence of the Crit-a-Cola or Buffalo Steak Sandvich gets too close. On the other hand, the Sniper will have an additional 20% vulnerability to fire, making the Pyro a deadlier adversary than before.

- The Bushwacka was added to the game.
- [Undocumented] This weapon was added to the crafting blueprint for the Ol' Snaggletooth.
- This weapon was given a unique kill icon.
- Fixed melee attacks not destroying remote detonation pipes (Stickybombs).
- Fixed players getting set bonuses applied on tournament servers when the server is restricting the player's weapons using the item_whitelist.
- Added new community contributed response rules to this weapon.
Bugs
- At times when a Sniper attacks an enemy coated in Jarate with the Bushwacka, a "critical hit!" notification will appear in the middle of a map along with multiple instances of the crit sound playing.
